BUSINESS PROBLEM
A global leader in vehicle racks and cargo management solutions faced critical challenges in strengthening its operations. Gaps across sales orders, distribution, and inventory allocation created inefficiencies and increased reliance on custom system customizations. To prepare for future growth and scalability, the organization needed to evaluate how SAP S/4HANA Best Practices could streamline processes, standardize workflows, and reduce complexity.


OUR APPROACH
We applied a structured, two-phase approach to evaluate Yakima’s current ERP environment and business processes.
1. From Insights to Alignment
The project began with a two-day discovery workshop, where we interviewed key stakeholders across functions to identify pain points, requirements, and priorities. Working closely with the client’s Director of IT, we then aligned on the areas where targeted SAP demonstrations would provide the most value.
2. Operational Excellence Through SAP Best Practices
In the second phase, our SAP consultants conducted a deep-dive assessment of the Sandbox environment supporting the client’s Australia operations. The team reviewed existing configurations and customizations, comparing them against SAP Best Practices to highlight opportunities to simplify, standardize, and unlock additional value from the ERP investment.
